Palin Books Defaced At Indy Airport - Police: Man Seen Scrawling Across Palin’s Picture

INDIANAPOLIS — A passing traveler is suspected of defacing books by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at a store inside Indianapolis International Airport.

Airport police were called to the Borders bookstore in Concourse B on Tuesday morning after four of Palin’s “America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag” books were found to have writing on the covers. “The cover of the books had Sarah Palin’s face on them and there were very noticeable markings on the covers of all four books,” the police report read.

Police said surveillance video showed a man, who appeared to be a passenger, writing on the books on display near the entrance of the store.

The books cost $25.99 each.
