Woman arrested at White House gates; Pours Oil on Self
A WOMAN “affixed” herself to a fence on the grounds of the White House today and then doused herself with an “oily substance”. Fox News Channel said, citing the US Secret Service, the incident was being treated as a hazardous materials situation, because of the unknown substance.
NBC said the Secret Service had shut down the northwest gate of the White House and HAZMAT teams were called out. NBC later said authorities had removed the woman from the fence.
No other information was immediately available.
