Missionary Inventor Uses Witty Inventions to Share Gospel
A missionary inventor is using his ingenuity and innovative methods to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Steve Saint invented the flying dune buggy, an all-terrain vehicle that can drive on freeways or, when needed, take to the sky-ways.
Popular Mechanics called Saint one of 10 most brilliant innovators of 2009. He said his flying car’s primary users are people who live beyond roads.
“It’s hard for people who live in a developed world to understand,” Saint said. “But the air highway works all over the world.”
Saint is the son of martyred missionary pilot, Nate Saint. Their story is told in the movie, End of the Spear, which relives the deadly attack by jungle natives when Nate and his friends tried to reach them with the Gospel.
“Although my dad being a pilot, Christ’s commission is to go to parts of the world where the Gospel hasn’t reached,” Saint said. “And airplanes are part of the ‘go’ in missions. But not just airplanes.”
