Laura Bush Supports Gay Marriage, Abortion (Disappointing)
Former First Lady Laura Bush says she disagrees with her husband on same-sex marriage and abortion issues.
After remaining silent on both issues for eight years, during an interview Tuesday with CNN’s Larry King she voiced support for legalizing same-sex marriage.

“There are a lot of people who have trouble coming to terms with that because they see marriage as traditionally between a man and a woman,” she replied when King asked a question about gay marriage. “But I also know that, you know, when couples are committed to each other and love each other, that they ought to have, I think, the same sort of rights that everyone has.”
