Obama: Technology becomes ‘diversion’ rather than ‘a tool of empowerment’
President Barack Obama cited the influx of new technology as “putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy” in a commencement address to graduates at Virginia’s Hampton University on Sunday.
“You’re coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don’t rank all that high on the truth meter,” Obama said. “With iPods and iPads; Xboxes and PlayStations; information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment.
“All of this is not only putting new pressures on you; it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy.”
Obama said that education would “fortify” the graduates to meet the challenges posed by these changes.
The president said education not only leaves the students prepared to compete in a global economy, but “it can also prepare you as citizens.”
“With so many voices clamoring for attention on blogs, on cable, on talk radio, it can be difficult, at times, to sift through it all; to know what to believe; to figure out who’s telling the truth and who’s not,” Obama said. “Let’s face it, even some of the craziest claims can quickly gain traction. I’ve had some experience with that myself. Fortunately, you’ll be well positioned to navigate this terrain.
“Your education has honed your research abilities, sharpened your analytical powers, and given you a context for understanding the world,” the president added. “Those skills will come in handy.”

How can any logical, rational thinking person listen to his speeches and not see his OBVIOUS manipulation?!
It is crystal clear that he is laying the foundation to stop any and ALL criticism of his majesty, obama. {Yuck}
And this whole TACTIC by Holder to lighten the Miranda rights in order to interrogate suspected terrorist in very, very TRANSPARRENT in the intentions of the Miranda rights being changed to affect ALL Americans, not confessed terrorists!
And these crazy Mexican jumping beans running around crying their rights will be stripped due to racial profiles, HAVE NO RIGHTS…And you dont hear them worrying about obama changing the Miranda rights!!!!! Thats what they should be worried about!

Funny how obama has a purpose for every move he make, as if he intentionally gave Miranda rights to terrorists, all in the future lessening of those laws that ere meant to [protect true citizens.

Speaking of which, watch out for obamas army, scheduled to serve for their first event…election 2011. I suppose obama is bringing in his {HIS} troops on election day because he KNOWS the outcome of the election WILL be Fixed, and when the massed who outvoted liberals 3 to 1 will start a riot, knowing they had been cheated.
Why else would obama enlist troops to cover that particular day..by the way, obamas army is currently at 80,000 troops, paid for by OUR tax dollars slipped into the health care Bill!!!

The more he does to destroy this country bit by bit, everyday, the more i worry. I worry because he CONTINUES to hold close 50% approval rating!
That means that half of America is either communist, or they beleive this man, either way, half the country supporting this evil man is an INSULT to America!!
