New Arms-Cut Treaty Requires U.S. Senate Approval (Will Republicans roll over for Barry?)

After President Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sign a new arms-reduction treaty in a Prague ceremony April 8, the treaty will face scrutiny in the U.S. Senate and Russian Duma for final approval…The U.S. Constitution requires that for any treaty to be ratified, it must be approved by at least a two-thirds vote of the Senate — 67 of 100 senators. The process of approval is known as “advise and consent.”
