Hillary Clinton Blasted for Pushing Abortion in Canada

Canadian and U.S. pro-life leaders are denouncing U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after she weighed in Tuesday on the debate over the Canadian government’s G8 maternal and child health initiative, insisting plainly that abortion is necessary for maternal health.

“You cannot have maternal health without reproductive health. And reproductive health includes contraception and family planning and access to legal, safe abortion,” she told reporters when asked about Canada’s G8 initiative.

Reacting to Clinton’s comments, Mary Ellen Douglas, national organizer for Campaign Life Coalition (CLC), told LifeSiteNews (LSN), “How dare she stick her pro-abortion nose into Canadian politics.  Hasn’t she done enough damage to the unborn in the U.S.?”

Clinton made the comments at a news conference following a G8 foreign ministers meeting in Gatineau, Quebec.  She began her visit in Ottawa on Monday.

“I do not think governments should be involved in making these decisions. It is perfectly legitimate for people to hold their own personal views based on conscience, religion or any other basis,” she said.  “But I’ve always believed the government should not intervene in decisions of such intimacy.”

Perhaps you were reading some extremist Taliban-in-Ottawa editorials, but Hillary Clinton’s refreshingly honest comments on Abortion as part of comprehensive family planning were a big hit with Canadians who have decriminalized abortion decades ago.

Did you know that Dr. Henry Morgenthaller, an Abortion Doctor in Canada that has helped women with therapeutic procedures at his clinics throughout the country since 1969 was given the ORDER OF CANADA two years ago?

Canada is far more advanced on this issue and Hillary’s views were far more Canadian than you’d care to think!

Read Front Page of the Globe and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper. Most comments from Canadians were favorable to the Secretary of STate, although Canadians don’t feel as if they should listen to her advice to stay in Afghanistan’s Kandahar killing fields longer than the 2010 expiration date!

CANADIANS LOVED HILLARY! Wish our politicians would be as honest, forthright, gutsy and intelligent…..
