Man dies during University Sleep Study
Emory Healthcare says a 25-year-old man who was participating in a sleep study died because of “sudden cardiac death.”
Brandon Harris’ mother says her son pleaded for help that never came.
Harris, a medical assistant, entered the Emory sleep center on Jan. 22 after attending an Atlanta Hawks game, said his mother, Renee “Sunshine” Lewis.
By the next morning, Harris was dead, Lewis said. She got a phone call letting her know that Harris’ oxygen level was dropping. When she arrived at the hospital, she found out he had died.
