Indian trains recruit boxers and wrestlers in fight against ticketless passengers :)

Boxers and wrestlers are being recruited by an Indian train company to intimidate thousands of ticketless travellers into paying up or getting off.

India’s Northern Railways, which has its own successful sports clubs and teams, drafted 36 boxers and wrestlers from among them to patrol its carriages.

Those found travelling without a ticket will have to pay both the fare and a fine to remain on board.

“For squads to justify their performance they must bring in more revenue for the railways. What better way to do that than have intimidating wrestlers ensuring that anyone travelling without a ticket fishes out the price of the ticket as well as a fine,” one railway official told The Indian Express.
