They pay no tax to the IRS and none to the state if they have relatives in Mexico or the U.S. who they claim as dependents. If they are single with no dependents they pay about 20% tax.
Group 3- Affluent Americans who are generally middle class with two working spouses pay about 20% in taxes for federal and state returns.

Regarding e-Verify I’d even go a step further. If any employer sent in form W-3 attaching a W-2 with wages of a mismatched employee I’d give him or her 90 days to resolve the mismatch. If never resolved then all the wages paid to that employee would not qualify for a “wage deduction” and the employer would only get to deduct the taxes he contributed for FICA and Medicare plus disability premioum and workmen’s comp insurance. He would have to amend his corporate tax return or his schedule C [Self-employment} tax return. He would thus, owe more income tax. The IRS shouild after 90 days notice send him a letter stating that he could appeal the case to Tax Court.
