go ahead, don’t pay your taxes….Wesley Snipes tried it and now he’s paying heavy penalties, having lost his court case, and facing jail time! If you don’t care enough for your country to pay into it, then leave and find a better country to live in. Remember, the problem isn’t in paying taxes, it’s how those taxes are being used by government that needs revising.

To Reuben - From the problems the President is having, it must be that socialists (liberal democrats in the USA) do not pay their taxes until nominated for a government position.

Unlike most nations which take avoiding taxes as a national pastime and paying bribes to their under paid government employees, most US American citizens do not like paying taxes, but do so as a necessary evil.

Hopefully the IRS has seen your response and is slowly but surely tracking you down. I would start looking over your shoulder.

At least the Federal prison system is the best in the nation. I know, after having worked for the City & County of Philadelphia Department of Corrections in the Penny Pack House and Torresdale Prison in the 1960s.

You will get what you pay for, in your case, nothing but promises that are never kept by the Democrat Party! Unfortunately, the Republican Party seems to be taking the same path recently.

All most of us who are real patriotic Americans and have served their nation in other than political positions are reaching a point of following the beginning of our Declaration of Independence: “When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

Where will you be when this is necessary?

The purpose of these TEA parties is not to complain or suggest that we stop paying our taxes, it is that we are Taxed Enough Already and that we want a Congress that truly represents us, not that puts into law a bailout that we can’t begin to pay off and that is full of the pork that Americans have been complaining about for some time and that some members of Congress admit that they didn’t even take the time to READ! Enough already!!!!!!

For the one that commented on wesley snipe the head of the treasury which oversees the irs didnt pay taxes either he payed no penalties becuase hes a democrat so only republicans pay taxes

The problem with our tax code is that anybody can be prosecuted with it. Nobody, even diligently doing taxes, can be assured that they’re compliant with every regulation. The effect of this is for the federal government to hold a club over everybody. How many more would speak out but for fear of audits and penalties. Not to mention the fact that ‘income’ was not originally considered to be ‘wages’ but the socialist FDR had his supreme court change the definition.
