Change and Hope: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Meets With Obama’s Cousin in Kenya

Bilateral ties between Iran and Kenya are improving in political, cultural and economic areas and the two countries are willing to strengthen and deepen these relations in different fields, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.

“Iran and Kenya enjoy very good capacities, abilities and opportunities in different sectors and these elements accompanied by the experiences of the (two) governments and nations can serve as complementary elements to help each other,” Ahmadinejad said in a dinner banquet thrown in his honor by his Kenyan counterpart in Nairobi Tuesday night.

Referring to the agreements signed between the two countries after 3 months of negotiations, he said the agreements are about joint cooperation and investment in such areas as energy, transportation, fishery, agriculture, veterinary and industry.

“Expanding cooperation and relations between the two countries is in the interest of the two nations and developing peace, security and brotherhood in the region”, the Iranian president reiterated.
