Clinton to announce 90 million dollar US aid package for Gaza
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to announce a US aid package worth 900 million dollars to the Gaza Strip at a meeting in Cairo next week, American sources said on Monday.
An unnamed State Department official told Reuters that the amount had yet to be approved by Congress.
A government official confirmed that the aid package would reach the said sum, adding that the funds would be transferred by the UN and other groups to ensure it wouldn’t reach Hamas hands.
