The following are excerpts from an interview with Saudi cleric Abd Al-’Aziz Fawzan Al-Fawzan, that aired on Al-Majd TV on October 7, 2008.
Sheikh Al-Fawzan is a professor of Islamic law at Imam Muhammad bin SaudUniversity in Saudi Arabia. In the past, he taught at the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America (IIASA). [1] Sheikh Al-Fawzan speaks frequently on Saudi TV, has previously made anti-Christian statements (see http://www.memritv.org/clip_transcript/en/992.htm ) and has called on Iraqis to wage jihad.

“America is Collapsing, According to the Same Scenario of the Russian Collapse”
Abd Al-’Aziz Fawzan Al-Fawzan: “A few years ago, the Socialist Communist system ended in a devastating collapse, and it was followed by the Soviet republics one after another. Russia gave up its competition against American hegemony, and the United States became the unipolar leader ruling the world.
“Now, Allah be praised, America is collapsing, according to the same scenario of the Russian collapse.

The leftists have taught our kids that they’re merely the result of chance, purposeless evolution, and no different than the animals. Then these same leftists wonder why kids in school don’t behave. (And meanwhile, they blame NCLB and Bush for lack of student achievement and proficiency.)
The leftists have made government bigger so as to “help” the “poor”, and now people don’t want to work, and the same leftists decry our slumping economy (and blame Bush for it).
The leftists have promoted “multi-culturalism”, which despite its professed aims, separates people afresh into “we” and “they”, which makes hating and harming “them” much easier. And these same leftists can’t understand the rise in hate crimes on the most liberal university campuses. And they blame “hate” on the rightists.
The leftists have removed “religion” from our schools and government, blissfully unaware that the same kind of removal led to the senseless, bloody, mob-rule after the French Revolution and the totally unworkable and non-working Soviet Communism. And now, instead of having any recognition of what they’ve done, they want to do more of the same, and replace a working administration with one which will take us WAY beyond the fondest dreams of the Soviets or the leftists of western Europe.
They want to take us in the very same direction which caused the Soviet Union to collapse, blissfully unaware that that is exactly where they’re going.
But all that doesn’t surprise me. What surprises me is that we the people are all thrilled for them to do it! “Whack me again with that hammer! It feels so good!”
We deserve whatever we get, IMHO.
