Nice to see an intelligent brotha talk. Media makes it seem like we don’t exist. I was high on the Obama bandwagon in 05, but I was targeting 12 for him to run. 08′ seems too early for a guy that has been in Washington for 4 years. Seems the more I’ve learned about Obama the more I question him.
I’ve never seen myself as conservative, but I respect and hold alot of conservative fews. I hate abortion, abstinence should be taught as a primary option, right to bear arms, and the right of the american dream.
What do these all have in common? Holding people accountable for their actions. If you don’t abstain, you should raise the kid you brought into this world. You try to steal from others, they will bear arms on your behind.

Nobody wants the government to “take” their hard earned money. This fact is not unique to “conservatives or Republicans” But it seems that the republicans love to claim this as their big fundamental platform. “Quit taking our money, Less government!”
I feel you, believe me!. Every time I earn a thousand dollars and $200 goes away, it’s disheartening. My kids don’t get 20% less hungry.
But we have also been on food stamps when things got really tight and I was thankful for a Government program at that point. I personally would love to see more true accountability as far as where the hell our tax money goes. I’d love to see a federal spreadsheet of spending. I certainly don’t want the gamble-holics on wall street taking a crack at it.
I say get government to work for you when it makes sense. Protection, Infrastructure, law enforcement, public education, and also believe there is a basic right to health care in the WEALTHIEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Why shouldn’t we have a healthy, well educated population of people? I guess that’s reserved for Europeans and the rich. BTW that’s how anybody keeps their power. By keeping those they hold power over ignorant.
McCain is smug, condescending, arrogant and patronizing. He is the only “hero” I know who touts his heroism for personal gain. A true hero, and a man of his age, should show some GOD DAMN humility. There is not a trace of it. That’s not a character flaw I want in the presidential office again. It’s embarrassing.

Very refreshing. There has always been something about Obama that I just can’t trust. I know McCain, even wore his braclet during the Vietnam war, after he and 100’s went missing. First, I’ve already voted for Mccain. Yeah, common ground. After watching this video, Please don’t think I’m racist, but I think his definition of sellout probably applies to white people too. I applaud his efforts to get his opinion out there despite the media bias in this one. I wonder how long before Obamas internet henchmen take it offline. I understand what he’s saying and to some degree I agree, however the problems in the Democratic party are in some degree aren’t as “negative” as portrayed in this video. While this is a Representative Republic the though of turning our country into an Aristocracy be it Government or Corporate rule is something I refuse to accept. The bottom line is that both Liberalism/ “Socialism or Conservatism/ “Fascist Nationalism” are two extremes of the same agendas. Since Corporations are Governments unto themselves. They should have a certain responsibility in paying a fair amount of taxes to maintain public infrastructures IE: Roads & Bridges, Fire & Police, and help to those less fortunate than themselves. But as an example of the situation we now find ourselves in a flash back in our history should be examined. The “Boston Tea Party” was not about paying taxes… it was about having some form of representation in accord with paying them. And with only the Merchants under the seal of the king having any form of representation. Everybody else had to “eat cake” and put up with the injustices perpetrated by the crown. As Franklin Roosevelt so perfectly defined as “Corporate Royalists” who seem to think that the various and sundry ways in which people can be misled and swindled by them are perfectly fine. On the other hand an omnipotent Government with out publicly overseen checks and balances is extremely dangerous as well. In recent history these extremes became apparent with the advent of people like Hitler and Stalin. And we are without a doubt in what Karl Marx defined as “A Political Struggle”. Let’s hope that it doesn’t destroy our Democracy or the freedoms we enjoy.

In reference to what you commented on. We need to remember that Fannie & Freddie were somewhat owned by the government from some 30 yrs ago. Bush, McCain and others, even some from paper media’s tried to bring the bad loaning practices to light and get some oversight. It was Barney Frank, Dodd, Pelosi, Meeks, Reid and others that time and time again said Fannie & Freddie were fine, no problem. This is why it is so dangerous now to let any more power be given to the Democrats. They have worked this to blame it on the Bush administration, but in all fairness, it was Bush & McCain that did try to get something done and they didn’t get enough support to stop the loaning practices that have been the largest cause in this housing market crisis. Along with those liberals that were saying all was fine, was Obama and all took large pay backs for keeping their mouth shut to the American people, causing more people to lose money thinking they were a safe investment.
We also hear people saying a Democrat in office would get our economy back running good again. They refer to Clinton’s administration, Look back and see when we started looking better, was about 1994 when we had Clinton as President, but we had a majority Republican congress. Now we have the opposite and look what a mess it is. This cannot be blamed on one man, when there are 445 in congress and 100 in the Senate, one president.
All good points you made and yes those Corporations pay out a lot, but as consumers we get those passed on to us. This is why taking from the hand that feeds you, an employer actually will leave us starving in the end when we have no job, because they can’t afford all the extra. Small business also depends on those and we depend on small business who pay a lot already to keep going. There does seem to be something out of hand in what many CEO etc get verses those that are actually doing the labor. That one I can agree on, but to say the government is responsible for that. Actually, we need a fair tax get government out of the picture, as far as IRS. I have worked doing income taxes for 30yrs now, but I can see how the fair tax would make more sense and all would pay and all would benefit more, have more job creations here in our own country. I think you get the picture and hope I made some sense here. Hard to explain in writing sometimes. Brain thinks faster than I can type.

This intelligent man has a real message for all of us, and I hope it will get to the folks who are still undecided before November 4th.
Don’t give up hope for McCain/Palin. I read somewhere on the net that with all the pollsters, when they call people to ask who they are voting for, 80% refuse to answer. That means the polls don’t really mean much. When Truman ran against Dewey, he was 5 points behind on election day, but ended up beating Dewey by 4.5 points! Go McCain/Palin!

I have been feeling very confused and angry. I love the world we live in and thank God for being so blessed to live and raise my children and grandchildren in America. The last few years have been sending a loud alarm to all of us but it seems like so many don’t want to see, can’t see, and even relish in our demise.
This wonderful young man makes me realize that there is still hope. That if we can band together and stop the socialist propaganda that is crawling slowly across our country, we can still be strong and independant — not being ruled and punished by keeping America strong. By living by our constitution and learning from history.

I served with many black men, native americans, asians, hispanics, and filipinos just like this guy in the submarine service. All of these understood that we had to count on one another each and every day to do our jobs.

Wake up people. How many times do you need to be lied to to realize anyone competing for a state or national office is a pathological liar? Thanks to our Republicrats and Democans, we don’t have a democracy. If we did, this race wouldn’t be about who can raise the most money and there’d be several more viable candidates. There also wouldn’t be 17,000 lobbyists in DC working hard for the very rich and powerful to ensure your vote means nothing.
Since we’re currently stuck with the two from the duopoly, the choice is between one who’s track record is of catering to the wealthy and backing the current moron and one who isn’t so blatant about catering to the wealthy and has actually formulated plans for the future that might work sort of (see his website). Also, the GOP candidate is old and frail enough that the real probability of his early expiration exists. That would leave us with a president who thinks her politial agenda is God’s will, that witchcraft is an actual threat and has no experience with leadership at a national level, much less international. We are currently dealing with the results of that kind of incompetent leadership. Do you really want more?
Lastly, we are very very lucky to live in a country where religious freedom is one of the primary tenets the nation was founded on. NOW PAY ATTENTION. This does not just mean free to be whatever kind of Christian you want. This means being free to practice any of the over 3000 religions currently practiced on this planet as long as you’re not violating anyone else’s basic rights.
This also means connections to a specific religion as regards our government are a threat to the freedoms of anyone who does not practice that religion. It’s called the separation of church and state and was the reason freedom hungry people came to this country to begin with. It what America is all about and if you can get behind that, then move somewhere else because, you’re not American.
