Breaking: William Ayers Mentioned Obama in his “A Kind and Just Parent” Book

I have been reading your posts and it is upsetting that most are just assumptions and half truthes tweaked to your writers way of thinking.

This is a prime example of your kind of spin:
“Ayers had to know Obama at a very close level to mention him in his book”

It does seem to work on the simple minded though. This is how Bush was elected again.

Nothing seems to matter to supporters of Barrack Hussein Obama. They are all his”Peeps”, his “Posse”, his “Gangstas”. They are a bunch of blithering idiots, and they hate America. They are the lowest of low-lifes, and I wish them all the misery life can bring them.

Sounds like he is talking about who lives in his neighborhood, people of prominence and substance.
How you can tie that to a personal relationship is beyond me.
And Enzo, your reference to peeps, posse, gangstas is a direct reflection on your ethics and certainly leads me to believe you are a bigoted racist.

if we are going to talk about Ayers and Jeremiah Wright and this is such an issue then why don’t we talk about Palins involvement with the Wasilla Assemby of God and the witch hunter Ed Kalnins.

Or to be really fun…. we can talk about how palins husband was part of a group who are interested in the succession of Alaska, AND palin was seen (youtube it) proudly addressing the “Alaska Independence Party Convention” in march of 2008. BTW…. the Alaska Independence Party boasts the fact that they want to become a separate and independent nation.

If thats not enough to prove that Palin has no right being anywhere near the USA’s executive branch of government i dont know what it.

Why does everyone want to compare Obama to Palin? Shouldn’t you be comparing him to McCain? You can compare Palin to Biden if you want to accuse her of something. In the meantime, research Biden a little and ask him why he was caught committing plagiarism several times and was forced to step down from his run for presidency a few elections ago! Ask him why he tells people his wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver when absolutely NO evidence is around to support that. How low can you go? And then ask him why he claimed to be shot at in Iraq. Again, a blatant lie. The mud slinging can stop now. It comes down to policies and belief in who is actually going to be there for our country and only ONE candidate has proven that he is willing to lay down his life for our country. I want a fearless leader who is willing to make a stand. Not a leader who doesn’t even know how to vote half the time. The choice is clear.

The problem with Obama’s asscociation with Ayers shows that he has lied and played it down. I bet most people have no clue what Weatherman stood for and the violent actions of the group. I’m sorry but I can never forget how Bernadine Dhorn glorified the murder of Sharon Tate in Flint Michigan but most of you who support Obama have no idea about that. Obama might have been 8 but Ayers and Dhorn were adults. They were and still are true dedicated United States Terrorist. You can name any analogy you want but nothing is as bad as Obama’s association’s. You are blinded by his snake oil campaign

I don’t think you can compare the Alaska Independence Party with people who become terrorists ON THEIR OWN COUNTRY, who bomb their OWN country’s Capitol, and pentagon. And even though these events happened many years ago is apparently not sorry and has apparently continued to teach and foster an attitude less than American throughout his career. I’m not a big McCain fan, but I am, without a doubt, no supporter of ANYONE for the Presidency, who is less than 100% in support of America, or anyone who has consistently shown ties to and support of people who don’t support this country. It is just an absolute necessity that the Commander in Chief of this country be passionate about and have an undying, unwavering love of America!

I agree with the liberal voices that say that the Ayers connection to Obama is a real reach… That is as of now. If more evidence comes in, we all may have to change our minds…However, the connection to Rev. Wright is an entirely different matter. For him to sit in that church for 20 years and hear that anti-america rhetoric and still refer to him as “my spiritual mentor” leaves one with the impression that the good Reverend must have had a significant impact on the Senator’s political and religious makeup…

Why would you compare obama to Palin? It’s true, thier experience is comparable, however, obama is running for president, where as, Palin is running for vice president.
You could say that both Palin and obama are qualified to be vice president, but there’s no comparision of the presidency to the vice presidency.

Mr. Obama has no family, No family friends, No relatives who can claim they grew up with, knew, or even verify Mr. Obama is who he says he is. We have to take his word on the matter. He seems to have lost his birth certificate when asked about his birthplace and here again we have to take his word. It is the word of a liar. He has been caught several times lying and no-one will call a spade a spade, not even McCain. We have only his candor to measure him by. He may not be eligable to run for president. He probably is not a natural citizen. He has lied about many other things.

It would appear that many out here who support McCain are not willing to accept the fact that people can change over the years. From what I understand Ayers is now a respected member of his community and a teaching professor. The past is just that, the past. It’s what you are today that matters.
As a 74 year old I have to say McCain does not belong in the drivers seat of this country. Watching him during the last debate told me he should be put out to pasture.
The major problem Obama might encounter is “Joe/Jane Six Pack” and their mind set on color.

Another valid question to ask obama is this: Your campaign keeps stating that you were “8 yrs.old when Ayers did his bombing”.True, but you say that you are a Constitutional Law professor(lecturer). If this is true, then surely you would’ve learned of Ayers’ heinous attacks upon the Document this Great Country is founded on. Your response??? Also he went to College in NY.,where he would have learned this,and ended up moving to Chicago right into Ayers’ neighborhood.Coincidence?? NOT! I heard Hannity saying something about Ayers’wife Dorhn. He said that she was the one who hooked up obama with michelle,and this was done right in Ayers’ livingroom. Have any of you heard this?

All Ayers says in the book is that Mr. Obama lives in his Hyde Park neighborhood to indicate that it is an integrated area. There is no other mention of Mr. Obama in the book. I think that stating that this off hand comment is “proof” of a close relationship is stretching things quite a bit.

Obama Lies about his Ayers associations because he has a reason to hide behind his need to LIE. That in and of itself, is good reason to question? What is it that he does not want me to know?
How could they both be working in the same building on the same floor for three years and only “cross paths”?

I had seen the comment about this book (not at this particular blog), and was intrigued about the rest of the story. I immediately got a copy of the book.
If you read before and after the words “Barack Obama”, you will learn that he is describing his bicycle journey to work. He is providing commentary on most everything in the many neighborhoods through which he travels on the way to the University.
Like most people, I have learned my neighbors’ names. While I am cordial, that doesn’t mean that I hang out with them on a regular basis. It doesn’t mean that I know anything about what they do now — let alone what they did 40 years ago.
We believe what we choose to believe, we make of an innocent comment what we choose.
The economy is “going to hell in a handbasket” even for those who have money. It has been that way for YEARS for those who are in the lower-middle to lower income levels. Please do not let yourself believe that spending time squabbling over the relationship of Williams Ayers and Barack Obama will accomplish anything for US citizens.
America has a lot of problems that need to be addressed, and they affect all of us — upper, middle, and lower-income alike.
