From an Angry McCain Supporter: Why McCain will lose

First, I want to say that I am really angry at the McCain campaign team.  McCain team should be fired unless there is a big October surprise that will save us from the Socialist Obama. I am really scared of Obama and I believe we are in a big mess if Obama wins.

With that said, as a McCain supporter, I am sad to tell you that McCain may lose the election. It is all about perception. Average Americans only believe what they heard in the debate. It is sad that, not for once did McCain seize the opportunity to explain how the tax cost for business translates to job opportunity for average Americans. As a McCain supporter, I do not think McCain articulated his positions.

McCain missed a lot of opportunities to set the record straight. Obama is a socialist with socialist agenda but McCain was not articulated enough to counter Obama’s claim about $300 billion giveaways to big corporation. Obama should have been called on this.

In as much as McCain is perceived by average voters as being obsessed with Iraq and war, McCain will lose the election. Today, as I write, McCain has lost 8 points in Gallup polls. It is time for McCain to wake up and tell us what he intends to address issues like: Jobs, economy, foreclosures, healthcare and more. McCain needs to tell us what he’s going to do to help average Americans. Otherwise McCain will lose the election.

Don’t worry. McCain will likely win. I hate to say it but the Bradley effect will be about 6-8% of the vote; people will say they are voting for Obama, but then vote differently in the booth. Then there are about 5 million plus pumas: Hillary supporters who will not vote for Obama (Obama’s Hillary support was only 58% in June, and has remained unchanged as of last week). Also, there are 3rd party candidates who will take votes from Obama, at least 3%.

It’s not the republicans who will beat Obama, it’s the democrats and independents who vote republican that will beat Obama.

Republicans may not have picked up on some language McCain used in the debate, but Hillary supporters recognized a lot of familiar territory–things that could help unhappy Hillary supporters move to McCain. McCain had a strategy at the debate.

There are a few more debates, and there is no doubt some kind of bombshell is to come upon Obama.

You know, Angry McCain Supporter, McCain can’t tell us what he’s going to do to help average Americans because Republicans help large corporations and wealthy people. McCain hasn’t got a clue that there is in fact a middle America, let alone that they need help.

And if you feel that Clinton was responsible for the economic disaster we’re dealing with now, yes, you’re right, he did try to give the Republicans whatever they wanted. But, remember this, from 1994 to 2006 the Republicans held the majority and the purse strings of the entire country.

Then when Bush took office in 2000, you had a Republican dominated Congress and Executive branch, meaning they were finally able to do as they pleased. Problem is that Phil Graham, John McCain, Bush, and other Republicans championed bills that favored deregulation of the banking industry. This is part and parcel of the ‘trickle down’ Republican philosophy and the recent financial trouble our country is in bares witness to the fact that it doesn’t work.

Certainly, there were Democrats involved in the recent troubles as well, but remember that up until 2006 the Republicans did whatever they wanted to legislatively and they couldn’t have cared less about giving the Democrats any input at all.

This is why I find it extremely humorous that now the Republicans are complaining as the minority that the Democrats aren’t affording them any input in the bills to be passed now. All I can say is turn about is fairplay.

It angered me that McCain didn’t stand up against Obama like he should have. John McCain really needed to call Obama out on some of the characteristics of Obama’s speech, that made it evident that he has NO respect for McCain.

First of all, Obama only called McCain by his first name. John — and at times, “Tom” or “Jim” were used, to try to work McCain’s temper up, so that the media could point and yell, “See? With a temperament like that, he isn’t fit to be president!” The person of character that he is, John McCain held it in and regarded Senator Obama as just that.

Secondly, I caught a detail that no one there seemed to catch. Obama didn’t get voted into office until November of 2004, but somehow, managed to “stand up against the War in Iraq” — which began in early 2003! How could he have voted for or against the war, when he wasn’t even in office, at the time? Doesn’t anyone call him out on this???

Here was Obama, saying that “those who are involved, should be held accountable”, during one of the many replies where he agreed with McCain. So does that mean that he’s all for being held accountable, himself? After all, he was involved with ACORN (being a lawyer for them) and having received several campaign contributions from Raines and Johnson; both whom worked with Obama, either as economics advisor (ironically, as Raines did) or on the vetting committee to pick Joe Biden as his VP running mate (as Johnson did). McCain should definitely have mentioned this, as it would have emphasized Obama’s lack of credibility on the subject of economics, which is now bringing him up in the polls!

Amazing. Just amazing. Ugh!!

I have to be honest, I have the same fears as you too! It scares me, and if it WILL be that he loses, I really wish the Democrats would’ve at least elected Hilary…Obama is far more radical, inexperienced, and an elitist, snobby, stiff-headed socialist.

That being said…I use HUMOR to cheer me up about the whole thing! Best thing you CAN do is laugh sometimes!

My blog is dedicated to that: check it out! Political Humor making fun of Obama and his lemmings!

Pamela, I find your views quite interesting. First let me help set you straight.

Bill Clinton got the credit for an economy that thrived in the 1990’s AS A RESULT OF THE REAGAN ADMINISTRATION, NOT THROUGH HIS OWN DOINGS!

If you will recall, it was Reagan’s tax cuts in the 1980’s that allowed business owners the funds to continue R&D and company growth and development of technologies in electronics, that finally realized the ‘big-boom’ under Clinton’s watch. I have lived through several democratic president’s and with the exception of ‘Slick-Willy’s’ ability to woo people, there were of NO benefit to our nation.

In contrast, the Reagan/Bush administration from the 1980’s increased our surplus, defeated communism and liberated several nations in the process.

Bill Clinton got a blow job from a fat pig while in office (funny that being the most powerful man in the world, all he could get was a cow like Monina Lewinski, ha!)

Well, enough beating on Clinton. I fully believe 100000% that Obama is a socialist and all of you whiney democrats out there better be ready for the ’socialist system’ he will create! In other words, WE WILL ALL BE GOING TO THE ‘FREE CLINIC’, dont worry though, our quality of healthcare and time waiting to have major life-saving surgery’s and quality doctors won’t go down, YEAH RIGHT!

Pamela is correct:

McCain has more houses and more lies up his sleave than even he can count. Middle America does not even appear on his radar or Palin’s. They both address people like peasants and McCain could not even look Obama in the eye during their last debate. Do we need a president who cannot deal face to face?

Excuse me, Pamela, but who is it that employs a good chunk of “middle America”? Large corporations. And who does “middle America” buy a good portion of their goods and services from? Large corporations again. Please inform us how raising taxes on these corporations will NOT result in layoffs and higher prices for goods and services.

As to the “help for the wealthy” canard, what Republicans are for is not robbing people blind because they happen to be successful. Almost 50% of Americans pay no taxes at all; the top 10% of income earners pay about 70% of the nation’s taxes. Please inform us how this is just or fair. Then please inform us how raising taxes on these people in order to pay for an additional trillion dollars worth of government spending (on programs and entitlements that the top 10% of income earners will likely never be eligible for) is just or fair.

Finally, Pamela, inform us why it is that you think the role of government is to help the middle class. The Constitution of the US - a document liberals love in the abstract but in every instance ignore in the particular - says nothing to the effect of it being the government’s responsibility to help the middle class.

Perhaps when you a) take a basic economics course or b) understand that using the government to forcibly take large sums of money from one group to give to another is both unjust and foolish, you will refrain from slavishly repeating liberal talking points and actually put forth an informed opinion.

Bush is socializing private/corporate dept to return funds owed to international buyers, debt created by a ponzi scam called “credit default swaps” and you think Obama is scary? I think we need to get rid of the criminals in the white house and save the republic

Well all I can say is America will feel the wrath of the world when this is all over. The American banking industry has laundered their worthless paper all over the world. America, morally, ethically and financially bankrupt!!

Folks relax, you are running on “F.E.A.R.” “False evidence appearing real.”

Poor John is grabbing at straws in the wind, a desperate act from a desperate Republican.

You will be very pleased with a Democratic President, a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate, trust me.
Now take a deep breath and get another six pack and settle in for a nice ride.

Cory

McCain threw the election away the instant he voted in favor of the bailout package. If he took a stand against this massive failure of a bill, while Obama voted in favor, McCain would be 10 points ahead in the polls right now. With each passing day that the stock market falls, thus proving what a fraud this “plan” is, McCain would be ticking ever closer to a blowout in November. But he did not. Instead he voted in favor of giving the Federal Government a seven hundred BILLION dollar check. Then traveled to a debate where he said the government is out of control and spending needs to be reigned in. What a joke. Now as the days go by with no improvements to the financial market since the passage of the bailout bill, it is becoming obvious what that bill was really all about. A covert attempt by the Federal Government to take control of a huge segment of our economy. Anyone brave enough to stand up to the incoherant march to pass this bill surely would have garnered a large sum of political capital. To bad it was’nt you Sen. McCain.

The REAGAN Administration did NOTHING to help the middle class. This economic crisis started with the “borrow and spend” Reagan Administration! And when they were borrowing they were borrowing from CHINA! They were busy waving flags while selling our economy to another nation…HYPOCRITES!

The very ones who holler socialism…couldn’t tell you the definition of the word if their live depended on it. They want to talk about socialism, let’s talk about corporate welfare…the biggest form of socialism ever!

Regardless of who was responsible for the “me,me,me generation” it has been based on greed and fuelled by credit. It is the base for the mindless celebrity culture and much of the must have everything mindset. The result of this is the ugly face of humanity; broken families, road rage, children shooting the classmates and teachers. I could go on and on.

It’s time to return to simpler values, save instead of spend, look out for your neighbours, support your local businesses and industries and stop trying to be policeman to the world. The whole world is tired of wars that solve nothing and kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Name one thing that the Vietnam War solved. I’m tired of John McCain rambling on and on about it.

I believe Obama is the man of his time and will return the country to the centre of the political spectrum; it has been way too far to the right for some time. He won’t go too far to the left because a) I don’t think that’s his intention and b) the electorate won’t let him.

Stay calm, prepare for a slow down in everything and brush up your self-sufficiency skills.

Is not interesting that we hear the word “angry” and “scared” allot from McCain’s supporters? First he was a celebrity, when it did not work, then he said he is terrorist, when that did not work, then they said he is socialist.

What a surprize you took down my post, Vets are angry with John McCain and no one is allowing our voice to be heard. The Iraq War will cost us more than you and your anti- intellectual publishers of slime and innuendo. My whole platoon is voting for Obama. Vets for real leadership is organized and glad to see General Powell woth us at last.

I have a question.

What does “Anti-American” mean?

Does the belief that the government should be more involved in the economy make one “Anti-American”?

Does the belief that the Military-Industrial complex is out of control make one “”Anti-American”?

Does the belief that our Drug policy is pointless and stupid as make one “”Anti-American”?

Does the belief that our foreign policy is and has been for the most part immoral make one “Anti-American”?

Its time for real leadership in this country. We have been pushed around and have listened to the scare tactics for 8 years now and the general public has finally caught on. Bad things happen everywhere everyday. You can’t protect against dying in an auto accident just as much as you can’t prevent every psycho from blowing him self up. You can only do your best while maintaining the free lifestyle that makes America the country that we all love (even those of us that live in ‘fake’ America which according to karibu barbie includes the brave first responders to the 911 tragedy).

How can you say that if you live in a city you are less pro-American? Also, who wants a vice president whose spouse is active in a club/party that wants to succeed from the union. What a joke.

I agree whole heartedly with you Marion… Prepare for a slowdown. Maybe you don’t get an iPhone and the new Mac Book Pro and season tickets to see the Penguins make another run at the cup (go pens!). Maybe its time to enjoy finer things like the company of your loved ones.

Notice how gas prices have fallen. Its not a coincidence. As the pig gets skinnier the Saudis either lower the price of their black gold or start to swim in it. You can’t live high on the hog as a society forever. Its time to take a look in the mirror and change your lifestyle to live in a new world where there ARE limited resources. Do you want to pass on a decimated planet to your great grand children? I don’t.

I’m not going to lie to you. I think we’re a deeply divided country. As long as people, with no sense of irony, write absolute dogma such as, “The Democrats always do this,” or “The Republicans only say that,” we’re in a lot of trouble. It’s so depressing, that I hope whoever you hate the most gets elected.

You Americans are getting exactly what you deserve. I hope hope Obama takes you all the way down.

All glory to Allah!

Congratulations America!!! The world salutes your united effort to bring change, not only to America, but the world. Barack Obama is an inspiration to people of all ages, races and faiths and we pray that his election will bring peace to the troubled parts of the world and a gradual recovery from the financial crisis.

Nothing is going to be easy over the next few years, no matter where in the world you live but I feel rejuvinated and optimistic.

Good luck for the future from the people of New Zealand!
