That is out of context quote. I watched that interview. The question George Stefanopolis asked was about the rumors and the constant barage of accusals that he is a Moslem. He was responding that the McCain people have let the rumor continue and haven’t stood up to deny it, whereas in the Palin situation last week, he stood up and told his followers to lay off of her family. You cut off the beginning of the sentence here, and made it look like he was admitting to being a Moslem. Use the entire quote with the preceding question and you’ll see that he’s not talking about actually being a Moslem.

And if you want to pick on the fact that Obama’s pastor said “God Damn America,” j. Barnett, get after Palin’s pastor Larry Kron of Wasilla Bible Church who made a similar comment:

Wake up America - BHO’s view of the USA and the “change” he wants to enforce once he’s pres.is FRIGHTENING. As a young boy, he did study Muslim faith and admits this fact. I believe Muslim faith is his “core” beliefs. He attended a Christian Church in Chicago (with this angry preacher) in his adult yrs because it was the politically correct church to attend in Chicago to promote his cause. I stopped watching the Ellen Show because Ellen is promoting BHO’s angry wife today on her show. Mrs.BHO’s & Ellen are dancing together to see if Mrs.BHO is a better dancer than Mr.BHO. (Barf) This pres. election is a cross between “American Idol” and “So you think you can Dance” Contest. Since Ellen & Oprah’s fluffy daytime talk shows are now “political,” I stopped watching both shows and I will let their sponsors know. Just a coincidence Ellen Show aired a rerun last Tuesday during the RNC convention and the guest was John McCain. Ellen debated Sen. McCain on “gay marriage” and Ellen has said on her show she doesn’t get political on her show but she does indeed. BHO was a guest a few times on Ellen’s show last season and they talked a lot of “fluff” and the two danced together (goofy.) Ellen had Hillary as a guest and they went bowling together and goofy talk. When Ellen had John McCain on the show she got into a debate with Sen. McCain on her political views.

Now Oprah is afraid to have Gov.Sarah Palin on Oprah Show until after the election. I remember Oprah had Al Gore and Tipper on Oprah show when Gore was Clinton’s VP pick. Last season Oprah had BHO, his angry wife and their two young daughters on her show to kick off his campaign and give her blessing and approval to viewing audience to rally and support BHO for president. I will no longer watch either show and I will not buy any of the sponsors’ products.

Russia to send naval squadron, planes to Venezuela

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia said Monday it will send a naval squadron and long-range patrol planes to Venezuela this year for a joint military exercise in the Caribbean, an announcement made at a time of increasingly tense relations with the United States.

The apparently retaliatory move follows the U.S. deployment of warships to deliver aid to the former Soviet nation of Georgia, barely a month after Russian armor and aircraft crushed the Georgian military in a five-day war.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko insisted Monday that Russia’s decision to send the squadron and planes to Venezuela was made before Russia’s war with Georgia.

“This deployment had been planned in advance, and it’s unrelated to the current political situation and the developments in the Caucasus,” Nesterenko said at a briefing.

But the announcement was made just a week after Prime Minister Vladimir Putin warned that Russia would mount an unspecified response to recent U.S. aid shipments to Georgia.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, an unbridled critic of American foreign policy, was specific and blunt Sunday night about the possibility the U.S. might be concerned about the exercises.

“Go ahead and squeal, Yankees,” Chavez said in a national broadcast in which he announced the exercises.

Nesterenko said the Peter the Great missile cruiser and three other Russian navy ships would visit Venezuela before the year’s end, and would be joined by a unit of long-range anti-submarine patrol aircraft.

He did not say how many planes would be sent, but said they would be “temporarily based at one of Venezuela’s air bases.”

Nesterenko did not name the type of planes that would be deployed to Venezuela. Russia has two such planes: the Tu-142, which is an anti-submarine version of the Tu-95 Bear strategic bomber, and the smaller Il-38.

I guess his proclamation of faith isn’t considered newsworthy by the mainstream news media, which has said nothing about this “slip” by Barrack Hussein Obama.

Obama is hiding many things including his Muslim faith and connection to the Black Muslim religion. Rev. Wright praises the black Muslims and their leaders and Obama is one of Wrights followers if not leaders. Obama is hiding his connection to Ayers and his connection to the Chicago political machine.

I do not know about Obama being muslim or not but just for that little slip up I refuse to vote for him. I will vote for MCCain. Obama DID clearly say McCain had not commented on “my Muslim faith”….BUT Obama clarified by stating that McCain’s campaign had not tried to insinuate anything about his Christian faith, either. in other words, McCain hasn’t tried to make people believe Obama is Muslim when, in fact, Obama is not Muslin. Obama went on to state that he was deeply offended by the innuendos and speculation surrounding his faith. I have heard him clearly state he is a Christian - only watching his fruit will tell….

I am a muslim and an American. I dont understand when did it become so wrong to be a muslim in America like General Colin Powell stated. We have two muslim congressmen Andre Carson and Keith Ellison serving in the US Congress.

This should not be the focus of debate. This is United States of America not Christian or Buddhist states of America. Every religion in this world teaches hope and discipline including Islam.

You know why people know there are two Muslim congressmen, because they are proud of the religion and state it, they have not LIED.
