Obama might pursue criminal charges against Bush when he becomes president
Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said yesterday that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.
Biden’s comments, first reported by ABC news, attracted little notice on a day dominated by the drama surrounding his Republican counterpart, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
But his statements represent the Democrats’ strongest vow so far this year to investigate alleged misdeeds committed during the Bush years.
“If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued,” Biden said during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, according to ABC.
“[N]ot out of vengeance, not out of retribution,” he added, “out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law.”
Obama sounded a similar note in April, vowing that if elected, he would ask his attorney general to initiate a prompt review of Bush-era actions to distinguish between possible “genuine crimes” and “really bad policies”.

I agree with Enzo. The only people who feel they are above the law are the Dems. To them, public office is their birthright. If Obama and Biden want to have the Bush Administration investigated and charged, then, I say, we should have Biden and Obama investigated and charged for their crimes as well. And crimes are a way of life for the Dems. This should be a real turkey shoot.

How about they have Clinton investigated? Or Ted Kennedy (Chappaquiddick)? They make it seem like it’s bush’s fault that the economy is going down but it’s not his fault. it was the stupid 1% interest rates that went up and no one learned from the stock market crash that it has to go down sometime. people got greedy. and clinton having a good economy was sheer coincidence. in short, why do they have to investigate bush being dumb? so many other people have done worse things.

Many of the respondants to the original post offer Bill O’Rielly and Rush Lambaugh logic and evidently have spent all their time listening to other pundants for Republicans on the radio and TV. The internet is chock full of information regarding just about everything from Barack Obama the Muslim/Communist/Terrorist to Sarah’s guilt about the gangbang baby she aborted when she was seventeen years old cause she wasn’t sure who the father was, which of course turned her to religion and pro-life. To much rederic and not enough substance. To much of the divisive tactics of the past, when we all need to work together to get our Country back on top and gain the respect of the world once again. Please don’t make this election about age, or race, or political left or right. It’s about each person “THINKING” about the reality of where this nation is, and where it needs to go. Barack Obama has numerous, indisputable associations with both Communists and Terrorists. He’s running for President. Why would someone who wanted to run for President of the United States since they were a small child ALSO have the desire to seek out and affiliate with racist, anti-American individuals and groups for decades? He didn’t grow up with these people; he sought them out and preferred their company.
Barry went to Columbia; he had more advantages than most. So what’s his excuse for teaming up with Kahlid al-Masoud, if he had the intention of being an AMERICAN President, representing ALL Americans, in order to get into Harvard?
I’m an Independent, and I don’t listen to the radio or watch TV. I watch and read the statements made by different candidates. Primary sources, not Cliff Notes talking heads. I don’t care if McCain is a Republican. It’s pretty clear that McCain’s circle is a new thing (hooray!)—the McCain-is-same-as-Bush strategy McCain’s detractors use doesn’t cut it any more. Neither does the anti-war thing, because Obama was the one in Germany of all places rallying young Europeans to follow him into Afghanistan, after taking it upon himself to apologize on behalf of his supposed fellow citizens for whatever….WEIRD! other nations don’t respect a sellout! Why would they follow some foreign guy into war, when he badmouths his OWN fellow citizens? McCain keeps his circle of friends close to home; his best friends are guys he served with. d
