A Leading Hillary Supporter (John Coale) Defects to McCain

John Coale, a prominent Washington lawyer, husband of Fox TV host Greta Van Susteren and a supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton, announced today that he was supporting John McCain for president. Coale, who traveled with Sen. Clinton, President Clinton and her family through out the primary season, complained of sexism, and said the Democratic Party is “being taken over by the moveon.org types” in an exclusive interview with Newsweek.com’s Tammy Haddad. He said he tried to prevent Clinton’s brother, Tony Rodham, from attending an August 18th meeting in Scranton, Pa. with McCain campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina. “I urged him not to go and told him it would embarrass his sister, but he has a mind of his own.” Coale says Mr. Rodham asked Ms. Fiorina “about McCain’s Supreme Court picks.”

This is just the beginning. You are watching the Obama bubble about to burst. He is less a candidate than a media driven phenomenon. The rapt attention of the country was held hostage by an image; a carefully crafted image of hope and change; never mind the details. Further, we were told that we were racists if we made same inquiries of him that we would make of any other politician. Consider for a moment what the media would have done if John McCain had friends like Bill Ayres or Tony Rezko. How about a pastor like Jeremiah Wright? In the cold light of real scrutiny Barack Obama looks very different than the invented image.

Ask Coale about ambulance chasing and the Church of Scientolgoy. This individual obviously doesn’t care about what the Clintons stand for. It actually funny!

WOW, well I wonder what Gov Martin O’Malley of Maryland will do know? This was his travel buddy for the Democratic Convention. And a big fundraiser for his run at MD Governor. Since this Governor was elected he has driven this state to the verge of financial ruins.

Changing political parties is being a hippocrit. Both have their own philosopies. I can not trust a politician who can’t support his own party.

I wonder how Hillary Clinton would feel to hear Mr. Coale say that he thinks John McCain’s VP pick is great!
Mr. Coale obviously does not know Hillary Clinton! Mr. Coale must not be a very smart man.

Sara Palin, former beauty queen, supported the “Bridge To Nowhere” even though she now says she did not, her ideas on birth control and “Right To Life” are more extreme than 90% of this country, she supported a windfalls profit tax on oil companies, she does not believe that humans have contributed to global warming, she is fine with creationism being taught in public schools, she raised sales taxes in the town where she was mayor, she is under investigation for an ethics complaint involving her former brother-in-law, she was caught on tape (See You Tube)laughing after very vicious things were being said about someone she was running against, she does not believe same sex couples should have any rights, she has spoken out loudly against the protection of Polar Bears as an endangered species and she wants to open up protected areas of Alaska for oil drilling!

She and McCain are perfectly suited for each other
And Mr. Coale should also fit in nicely!

In terms of the policies that each has espoused, there isn’t a cup of warm spit’s difference between Hillary and Obama. They are each far to the left. The difference between the two is that Obama appears to be a complete fabrication with very little substance. It’s easy enough to see how a Hillary supporter could hedge with McCain. If Mac wins, Hillary is back in 4 years. If Mac does not win and Obama fails to live up to the hype, Hillary is back in 4 years. In the interim, the chance that Mac will win is about even money and he’s closer to the middle of the road democrats than either Hillary or Obama. Do the math. This move only has 1.6% probability of a bad outcome for Hillary given a Democrat Congress. I suspect that many of Hillary’s hard core supports will come to that conclusion with or without Palin in the mix.

Amen! I am a lifelong Democrat who supported Hillary. A woman in her 40’s looking to have children and a child of a mother who had me at age 43 (after 11 children) who is NOW TODAY declaring my support for PALIN!!!

I am sickend by Obama supporters and bloggers rudely citing how Palin’s’ child was a mistake??? Do you believe all children who have a disability are a mistake??? WOW. This is really scary rhetoric from someone who flaunts change and who must believe killing a child due to a disability is the right thing to do?

I am also changing my affiliation today because the Dems (my soon to be old party) are stating that a 17 year old girl having a child is a mistake. Wasn’t your candidate born to a teenage mother, too?

The fact that they would rather abort a child, consider themselves Pro-Choice (unless you choose to have that child, then you should abort a child and there is no choice), is disgusting.

So thank you all you Dems out there for stirring me down the path from supporting Hillary to now Palin. A mother, governor, strong outdoors woman, sportsman, maverick and by far more than any of you can say - a woman who believes in FAMILY.

Heidi

Good to hear!

Much of the democrat party brain trust jumped ship in the Reagan years. The few remaining are wising up to this dying party of leftists. Nothing much left but morons and riff-raff.

The democrat party is beyond hope… and change.

I am totally embarrassed of the Democratic Party. I can no longer support the party. Clinton supporters have felt cheated and I address this letter to all of them.

This primary has revealed DNC “leadership” to be corrupt, mean-spirited, and lacking respect for basic democratic principles. They have completely and effectively ceded the moral high ground to Republicans at this point.

1. We have seen the race card played, with assistance from both Dean and Brazile.
2. We have seen rampant sexism with no objection by the DNC.
3. We have seen the superdelegates endorse as quid-pro-quo for campaign contributions.
4. We have seen arm-twisting of the congressional delegates by “neutral” Nancy Pelosi to declare for Obama.
5. We have seen an unabashed ageism campaign against John McCain, calling him “confused”, and that he has “lost his bearings”.
6. We’ve seen a softening of support for the gay and lesbian community.
7. We’ve seen caucus cheating.
8. We’ve seen intimidation of Hillary supporters, hack attacks and coordinated threats against voters and media that dare to dissent.
9. We’ve seen manipulation of the party nominating system and media to favor one candidate over another and the outright redistribution of votes cast for one Hillary and given to Obama.
This is now a democratic party in name only.

John Coale is not the only one! 27 in our family alone have gone into the light. Many americans appear hynotized with Obama and his misleading, untruthful rhetoric. The only thing he says about McCain is “more of the same”. What does that mean? He has no basis to make those statements. Voting records! Well, I would rather have a president who is not plotting his political career and takes a stand than one who is “present”! Obama did not care about the subject of the vote, he was just watching his back so no one could say you voted yes or no on some issues. We don’t trust him!!
We were all for Hillary, her experience, her leadership and we know only she could win against McCain. If not her, McCain is the best for the country! No Way, No How, No Obama.

I am encouraged to know that a middle-age, mother of two, now caregiver for a 97-year old mother can stand proud of her political party. McCain may not be all things to all people but he stands by his convictions - as will Sarah Palin. Any other dems out there? Come on over. The unborn children, those with disabilities and the elderly need and want you on this side.

Judging by the many invalid, sensationalist, and plain stupid remarks left here by morons and riff-raff of all parties, it is my belief that a great number of the human race is “beyond hope..and change.” God help us all!

Maybe John Coale is a Spy for the Democrats!

At least Sarah Palin knows what she believes and the Democratic-left is obviously shaken and stirred. Obama is just using Joe Biden and it is sad to see such a class act go in that direction. (Joe beter get his V.P. position in writing because Obama really is like a chamelion…)It is time to move forward and leave the politics of the seventies behind us. Let’s move forard with the government that is for all the people, McCain and Palin. Growing up in the Sixtis in Boston was a terrible time,we all paid a huge price and supported affirmative action, that is yesterday’s politics. If Obama was so American he would have written a book called “Dreams of my Mother”…I expect he will someday. It should be Biden-Obama, I might have voted for that ticket but it is obvious that it is all backwards. ( Would love to see a basketball game with Sarah Palin and Michelle Obama-Great fundraiser!) CIvil Rights is very important to all of us in America, It would be great to see a level playing field without the South Side Chigago affirmative action machine in play! Who wants Southside Politics? Without that machine Obama would be working at his career like the rest of us! Also, as far as the Kennedy family, they also know how to get special treatment. Mary Joe Kapeckney has been erased from Senator Kennedy’s resume’; I was a litle girl vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard when they both went over the little Chappaquiddik bridge….perhaps John Edwards suddenly remembered this in his moment of expected entitlement. In any case Ms. Kapeckney was treated as if she were an acesory to Kennedy’s life and at 12 years old, I realized the first real injustice of my life! Talk about sexism, Kennedy had a alot of friends back then and he takes far tooo much credit for everything, like Mass. Health that was a Mitt Romney plan that was developed when he was Governor of MA.
Kennedy and Obama have an agenda but this is America, the home of the brave…not the home of doublestandards. For all of those who think that Obama should be entitled to the Presidency because he was the first Harvard-Hawiian President of the Law Review….Aloah? We need Sarah Palin and John McCain right NOW! MAybe Obama and Biden, Reid and Palosi think they are better and more “progressive” but that is a discussion for a different forum!

M. Casey, allow me to give you some facts, since your “facts” come straight from Keith Olberman and Barack Obama…

1) Her name is spelt Sarah Palin, not Sara Palin
2) She supported the “Bridge to Nowhere” until she found out how dirty Ted Stevens actually was and cancelled all of the projects involving the “bridge to nowhere”.
3) She is pro-life, just like 30% of this country, if not more. Other pro-life people do not think it is one of the bigger issues, so they do not vote based on it(such as some people who support someone because they are black).
4) Her ideas on birth control? Does she not believe in condoms or something? I must have missed that in her speeches.
5) She did not support a windfall profit tax, she created a bill to tax oil companies for the resources they were getting from Alaska. Basically, she paid every citizen of Alaska for the resources that oil companies were getting from Alaska. Thats not a windfall profit tax.
6) Most credible scientists do not believe humans have much of an impact on global warming. In fact, most of the scientists that do believe humans CAUSED global warming are not even enviromental scientists. Also, keep in mind that what is considered “global warming” has not even been completely verified as temperatures taken from deep in the ocean have actually gone down over the last 20 years. The worldwide temperature is going up, but it has fluctuated throughout time and most scientists say that temperatures are not even close to the levels they were in the 1500’s. Another thing to keep in mind, temperature has only been scientifically recorded for maybe 90 years. I do believe the globe is warming, but I do not think there is “global warming” as the way most people define it.
7) Creationism should be taught in schools as well as evolution. I am not even religious and I believe that. Evolution has not been proven, so teaching just that would be considered a bias to one theory. They should teach all theories and make sure that teachers never take a bias no matter if they believe in creationism or evolution. For fun, why dont you prove evolution? I will play devil’s advocate and prove creationism.
8) She raised sales tax, but lowered most other taxes.
9) She is under investigation for firing the Public Safety Commissioner for personal reasons. The problem is, she has the right to fire nearly anyone for any reason. But to clear up your concerns, her brother-in-law had been disciplined by his commanding officers several times for misconduct, he tazered his 10 year old stepson, he reportedly threatened his father-in-law, and the Public Safety Commissioner refused to fire him even when approached by several people(not Palin) in the state government.
10) I have never heard of that tape, as well as major news outlets apparently, so if it even exists I am going to ask you this: You have never laughed at a mean joke? never laughed at a sexist, racist, etc joke? never laughed at a lawyer joke? never laughed at someone making fun of another person? never laughed at the idea of Obama actually telling the truth(opps, that slipped)?
11) She actually has never said that she is against gay rights, but Log Cabin Republicans support her so I guess they are ok with her.
12) I personally, as well as alot of people, have a problem with the government wasting money protecting any animals. Should we stop bears from eating fish? Should we stop lions from eating gazelles? Should we stop wolves from eating deer? Its called a food chain. I could care less if people killed animals or if animals killed animals for any reason, as long as it is humane.
13) The majority of this country wants to drill in ANWR, its a good idea. Apparently you have a better idea? Maybe attach a turbine to your face so when you talk the hot air moves the turbine and creates energy? Democrats are against hydro-electric energy, nuclear energy, coal energy, etc. But Democrats are for wind and solar energy, just as long as the wind farms do not mess up their view!
14) Is it not ok for a woman to be in a beauty pageant? Is it not ok for a woman, who is a feminist, to participate in a beauty pageant, as well as own a small business, be a mayor of a small town, be a governor of a state, and run as VP of America? Apparently your ideas of feminism are alittle messed up. Next you are going to insult her for wearing makeup? Not all strong, powerful, smart women have to be butch and manly. Just like their are male beauty pageants now, it is ok to participate in those things if you want to. It does not take away from who someone is and it does not make them not strong, powerful, self-reliant, smart, etc.
15) For as much as you criticize Palin as a mayor and a governor, she won both elections for mayor and her election for governor in landslides. She is also the MOST popular politician in America. So obviously they arent complaining about the sales tax, not putting polar bears on E.S. list, wanting to drill in ANWR, etc, etc.

I am sorry, but pretty much everything you said was either wrong or just stupid to say. You will never be able to find a big fault with her because there are none. You ignorantly attack her for what she did in politics while she was the most popular politician in America, yet she had over a 90% approval rating while getting more political experience than Obama. In fact, she has actually made executive decisions in her career, she controlled a $10 billion budget, her political career is about 40 times as long than Obama’s(13 years compared to 143 days), and she actually stands behind what she says she is going to do. Obama can not even decide what to eat until he sees that day’s national opinion polls!

And with all you say, it is just too bad that Obama has lied about his entire life, never tried a case in 9 years as a lawyer, has not even been in politics long enough to vote on almost any issue he talks about, has very close ties with Tony Rezko, Abu Zayd, and called Jeremiah Wright the most influential person in his life for 20 years.

Wow! Eric, superb!!!!! Love it and agree completely!!!. You said even more than I could ever get up there. People need to open those shut eyes and listen with those closed ears. They might actually see and hear something that is truth.

Glad to see John Coale recognizing that you are who you associate with. After many years of close association with Bonnie and Clyde, could just be he has seen the “light”….and that’s a good thing.

BTW… The last time I checked, we were born from our parents, it’s a gene thing…not the stork, Florida , New York , or “Hawaii born.” These are states, not wombs…. Perhaps Obama’s “Spirit of Aloha” never quite existed in the real world, he was simply just a passerby. Or perhaps he found his true roots in the corrupt corridors of Chicago, et al.
