AUDACITY OF FAITH: OBAMA MOCKS THE HOLY BIBLE
On June 28, 2008. Senator gave the speech about faith where he ridiculed and mocked the book of Leviticus, Deuteronomy and the verses about the Sermon on the Mount, Obama mockery of the word of God has to stop. Read the entire speech at Senate.GovIn Ohio, Obama use the the Bible to score cheap political points; Having the audacity to justify his support of HOMOSEXUAL CIVIL UNIONS BY claiming his views were inspired by THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT [WHICH HE RIDICULES IN THE AD ABOVE]. Once again Obama takes the Bible flagrantly out of context.
Here is the transcript: “I will tell you that I don’t believe in gay marriage, but I do think that people who are gay and lesbian should be treated with dignity and respect and that the state should not discriminate against them,” said Obama on Sunday. “So, I believe in civil unions that allow a same-sex couple to visit each other in a hospital or transfer property to each other. I don’t think it should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans. That’s my view.”

I watch the excerpt above and I could tell it was edit for content. When looking at the actually written speech I could see that certain sentences where left out for effect. I am not a huge fan of barrack Obama, but in all fairness editing for content to make a point is unfair to him and to me as a viewer of the video. I would love for politicians to be radical for Jesus and to be able make all the decisions based on what God tells them on a daily basis, but based on the course of history of America and the World in general this may be an impossiblity, because the inheritant pride of mankind. It would take a leader like Jesus who would be willing to the follow the Spirit of God for this to happen. All we can do is pray and intercede for the our leaders and allow God to do his work. Here is thought to ponder if we truly had a man or woman of God in the office of the Presidency would we be able to follow his leadership or would find excuses or faults to ensure that wouldn’t follow them? I thank our Heavenly Father that he loved this vapor of a man, on this speck of a planet in God’s backyard to send His son to die for not only me, but everyone regardless of their condition, i.e. murder, liar, politician, preacher, president, and all manner of sinner. I am thankful for people like you who are willing to keep an eye on things and pray. May the Lord bless where you are at in your walk with him.
