Deborah: D***! That should NOT have happened! This gives me yet another reason to vote Republican this fall.
This settles it - I WILL send a bra (unwashed!) to the DNC.
I agree.
It looks like DNC is in the tank for Obama and it is taking women for granted.
Women don’t seem to have a problem being used.
Terrible! But not surprising. This is the way women are treated when they object to the affirmative action candidate. It’s a disgrace and I hope the woman sues!
If you don’t want the stereotype of women to continue, stop living it. I don’t believe women are all bitches that throw hissy fits when they don’t get there way, but you are not doing much to end that prejudice. Actually you are promoting it.
Hello:
This is a tragedy. The Obama people have a totalitarian mindset. For anyone who believes in freedom, now is the time to protest. Usually it’s the far right that attempts to push its views on our country. This time it’s the far left. My wife and I have supported Hillary throughout the campaign. We will not vote for Obama. He is an arrogant anti-democratic individual as well as a mi£sog£y£nist. The Democratic Party is now the party of racism and sexism. It is a party that hates white people. And it has become an elitist party. Yes, this is CHANGE.
Of course, we’ll cross over and vote for McCain. At least he’s a decent person. Obama will lose because the party that is split always loses. Fortunately, the Republicans chose a maverick. McCain will be a good President.
I am not a woman. I’m a man, a Blackman; and I’m outrage beyond words at what is being done to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and women, in general. I’m livid at Barack Obama for allowing himself to be used as the spearhead of a sexist campaign the idea of a female presidency or commander-in-chief! The Tim Russetts, the Chris Matthews, the Keith Obermans, et al are hiding their antipathy to women behind their so-called admiration of Barack Obama. And it is absolutely shameful that the Jimmy Carters and the Ted Kennedys and the other so-called big-time liberal and progressive male leaders have cosigned to this sexism. The great Jesse Jackson, the great Al Sharpton, the great Louis Farrakhan are as quiet as church-mice while male-piling-on is taking place! If Barack Obama had started with a double-digit lead over several of his opponents and a Hillary Clinton with no resume was suddenly lift into the sphere of second-commings, larger-than-life, walking-on-water archtypes, they’d be raising pure hell at a racist campaign against Barack Obama, a Black man! But ‘hell knows no fury like a woman rejected because she is woman!’ It’s time to not just get mad! Get even! Whenever one door closes another one opens up! This sexist campaign against women defines the problem of the 21st century as the problem of the gender line. There’s no better place to start than in front of the credentials committee in Denver! Don’t buy the unity talking points! The Democratic Party is in disarray, not because of Hillary Clinton; it’s in disarray because of its latent sexism/antipathy to women. Masking this disease behing party unity against the GOP in the fall is not the answer! As for me, I lost all faith in the Democratic Party. If Barack Obama is the nominee, I’m voting for Mccain, not because I like Mccain’s politics, but because I believe the Democratic Party is so corrupted that it needs to be destroyed and built anew. The only faith I have left in the Democratic Party is for women to stand up and say, “We ain’t takin it, no more!”
Give us a break. This is America, you can’t control what somebody else might say nor can you take personal offense. People have the right to express their opinion be it on a placard, in the news or the pulpit but don’t attribute that to the DNC or anybody else. That would be a stretch of one’s imagination if not anger. Frankly, I think the Clinton rhetoric and campaign has fueled this fire. It shows how nasty politics can get. I’ve always wondered why a politician would pay millions of dollars to run for office. Given that, it’s no wonder that their spin machines have an interest in getting folks like this stirred up. There’s a lot of payback at stake so while the little people are getting stirred up, somebody else is making big bucks.
It is sexism at best, but realize it also goes far beyond that as well. The treatment of Hillary, her supporters and her campaign by the DNC, the media and Obama supporters have been a huge joke on their part. Obama, an unvetted, inexperienced candidate had been annointed the nominee minutes after Iowa’s caucuses closed. This male will not be a part of a party that has lost it’s true democratic values. Come Tuesday, I will begin my quest to switch from the dems to the independent party AND if not Hillary ‘08, then my funding AND my vote will be going to McCain ‘08.
Look at it this way…the dems are sure to pick up both Senate and House seats, therefore having a republican president will not be such a bad thing…the votes will be controlled in the halls of congress, not in the white house.
This is disgusting , women are upset and the hillary supporters are upset, this has been the most undemocratic election in the history of the U.S. they have demonized hillary and bill through out this campaign and the final insult they have robbed her of delegates. What the media ihas done to her campaign and her personally with the DNC’s help is nothing but crooked. the world is watching in amazement at a country who goes around the world to promote free and honest elections and they can’t do it in their own country.SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am a canadian and today marks a sad day for women but all people , the press has been manipulating this election from the start for ratings on the tv. where is the truth and honesty in the news no body has talked about all the scandles and corruption surrounding obama that would of disqualified him from the presidency but they vilived hillary. when the american people can’t turn on the tv and get the news from a honest , fair source you hve truly lost your freedom of democracy and you are pawns of the stations propaganda. why has america let this happen again. the media never questioned anything bush said of the iraq war and went along with the smears of people who came out to say things were wrong.they were afraid of being called unpatriotic. now they are letting information slide and giving obama a free ride so they don’t appear racist, well racism goes both ways as you see in obamas church. where was pelosi and the dnc coming out and condeming this smear of hillary no they are more afraid of offending obama .what a sham of a dnc. they are not democrats anymore they are greedy politicans looking after their own backsides. SHME ON ALL OF you. Hillary supporters protest and vote john macain because this party is not what it used to be and they need a lesson on democracy.

2008. This was going to be my year. Finally there would be a presidential candidate to vote for and support with enthusiasm, even make substantial campaign contributions and telephone calls. But that’s over. I see that the Democratic National Committee and its subcommittees are morally bankrupt.
It was bad enough that the DNC would actually seriously intend to disenfranchise millions of its supporters in the primaries. It was horrifying to see the DNC’s blatant Obama bias, month by month, accompanied by a clear and nastily-expressed disrespect, even hatred for Hillary Clinton, my candidate. I watched you snickering with the Republicans at the disgraceful sexist comments expressed openly in almost every media market, and you never called foul or came to her defense. This is how Hillary Clinton was treated by the Democratic Party, for whom she and her husband had worked tirelessly, for the party and for so many of its individuals and hopefuls, for decades.
Meanwhile Obama’s fatal flaws of inexperience, dire personal and political associations and empty rhetoric were ignored by the DNC, bankrolled ultimately by George Soros and his ilk, pretending that the American public really didn’t get it and would trust its hype. The ignorance underlying this doomed assumption is only compounded by DNC determination to bypass our own party convention, whose sole purpose is to elect our candidate, by bullying party members and superdelegates to “support the frontrunner” now, before the convention ever takes place, before Obama actually becomes known for the disgraceful fraud he is. You are living in a dream world.
But your decision to award Michigan delegates to Obama, delegates he could not have earned because he was not even on the ballot, shows a bottom-line disrespect for what it means to be a Democrat, indeed what it means to be an American. How could the DNC Rules Committee, in clear view on every channel, possibly think it could spin its Florida, and especially its Michigan, decision as fair? You are deluded, drunk on your own greed and bias. You manufactured votes for Obama that did not exist. The fair thing to do with Michigan was to give Clinton her EARNED delegates and allow the undecided Michigan delegates their freedom to represent the candidate of their conscience at the convention in August. The fair thing to do with Florida, whose Republican machine and governor callously, and I’m sure with glee, forced Democratic voters to violate the party rules or have no voice at all, was to seat the entire delegation with its full vote. No-brainer. But apparently your collective brain power is somewhere less-than-zero.
No matter. You are about to get a big wake up call. John McCain is nominally a Republican, but more obviously, an Independent in Republican clothing. He is not the third term of George Bush, as Obama is encouraged to spout, now feeble and tiresome in its desperate repetition. He is somewhat right of center; I am somewhat left of center. It is not near an irreconcilable difference as what I have with radically far left Obama. I will not support Obama, ever. In fact, I openly and vigorously oppose him. I eagerly await the tape of Michelle Obama in the pulpit of Trinity United, talking about “whitey.” I know the DNC does not want to believe that there are people like me in America, that we would never . . . but that’s part of your delusion, isn’t it?
Surely Hillary Clinton and her family and supporters have received the wake-up call of betrayal by the Democratic Party and so many of its members. The Clintons’ loyalty and service has counted for nothing. Seen in a certain light, this could be quite a liberating experience for us all. Because Hillary Clinton, running as an Independent . . . would crush you. Now, I could support that.

US teachers are irrevocably committed to support the Democrat Party, no matter who its candidates are- a pro-war Lyndon Johnson or an anti-war George McGovern, teachers fall into line. Despite their college degrees, most teachers abandon thinking (at least as to politics)early in their careers. Unions are an arm of the Democrats and teacher union dues go only to Democrats. The pressure to conform is enormous- in many schools teachers who vote Republican are ostracized, literally. Liberals are Stalinists at heart and brook no dissenting views. How do I know this?- because I was a Democrat for many years and a teacher and union member. As long as one is inside the cage, the cage bars are invisible and the little birdies sing liberal songs. I am now out of the cage and am free to think for myself. This woman will vote for Obama in November. Bruises and all.
Hillary supporters shouldn’t stay home in November. Don’t waste your power. You can neutralize a vote for Obama by voting for McCain. Your vote is as powerful as the pens of the Peggy Noonans and Ariana Huffingtons and the women columnists at Newseek who have branded Hillary as “whining.” Go to the polls for McCain. There is so much anti-American rhetoric amongst his past associations. It scares me.

THIS IS THE WAY WOMEN ARE TREATED! AND IT WILL CONTINUE AS LONG AS THE NAMBY PAMBY WOMEN CONTINUE TO NOT SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER! LOOK HOW HILLARY HAS BEEN TREATED! SHE IS A FORMER FIRST LADY, A SITTING U.S. SENATOR, A CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT AND SHE HAS BEEN CALLED NAMES, RIDICULED IN THE MEDIA AND THE PULPIT AND NO ONE IN THE DNC HAS STOOD UP AND SAID A DARN THING. NANCY PELOSI SHOULD HAVE SPOKEN UP LONG AGO BUT SHE IS PART OF THE PROBLEM. SHE HAS THE “I’VE GOT MINE, LET HER GET HERS” ATTITUDE THAT MANY WOMEN IN POLITICS HAVE DISPLAYED. GOV. JANET NAPOLITANO IS ALSO GUILTY! SHAME, SHAME, SHAME! IF WOMEN WON’T STAND UP FOR THEIR OWN, WHO WILL?? NO ONE!
